Light of the north

When designing my new logo, I wanted it to have a norwegian touch to it somehow. I tried to make it get a crystal feel to it, like ice crystals, and the colors would be the color of the aurora borealis aka northern lights reflecting in the ice.

Not really good at animating yet, but it gets my idea through.
And up next.. how to get this effect on my new business card.
