mRDF

mRDF (modular responsive design framework) is a way to display all versions of a site on desktop. Basically, a desktop user can see how the site or application looks on his mobile phone without resizing the browser to do so.

mRDF is a way to prioritize information by importance from phone to desktop size. Call this information architecture 101. But more important than prioritizing it, we can make it available to our users in a clear and fashion way.

Everyone has a laptop, a tablet and a phone these days. If they see that a site has the first column beautiful, they will instantly grab their phone and check it out, bookmark it and probably use it forver. We can achieve this marvel by splitting the 960px grid system in 3 columns. Desktop user will see all 3 columns, tablet user will see the first two columns and smartphone user will see only the first column, the other two columns can be nested below or made optional.
