Whatsapp Desktop

So last year i did a Whatsapp redesign for iOS7 before it was launched. So i had some free time today and decided to extend this concept out of a need/want for a desktop version.

I constantly find myself in a situation where i'm having to pick up my phone while in front of the computer to reply to your friends/colleagues and the constant back and forth is irritating.

With a simple interface building on the design concept i had previously done for mobile, I created a desktop version which holds the familiar interface that we have seen throughout messaging apps.

This was a rework of a familiar concept and by no means an innovation. I designed it purely because i want to see a desktop version in the near future.
