Facebook Mobile Profile

See attachment for design.

My team recently launched a new design for Facebook Profiles on mobile devices. It’s now easier to see photos of people simply by swiping, all of your actions are now in one place, and there’s a new section to let you know the most relevant-to-you information about each person you view.

This new information section is based on your relationship with the other person. You can imagine it as a way to experience your first few minutes of conversation with them as if you ran into them at a party. If you’re already friends, you’ll get caught up on what they’ve been up to and major life events they’ve experienced. If you’re not yet friends, get to know them by learning about where they work, where they live, and what you share in common such as mutual friends or interests. It’ll only get better with time.

Fast Company was nice enough to ask us a few questions on our research process for this project. http://www.fastcolabs.com/3029488/how-facebook-used-ux-research-to-personalize-the-way-we-see-each-other
