The circles UI works by viewing "end-to-end" snapshots of your travel itinerary. This initial view is a circle of the entire trip - flight out to flight home. You can tap on other circles, such as "Monday" to zoom in and view a Monday circle (by hour), or tap on "Chicago" to view a circle of your time in Chigago as a whole. Full pinch & zoom gestures to include more/less detail to your circle - similar to zooming in/out on Google Maps.
