Updated Workspace

Updated my workspace.

It all started when I posted the first shot of my workspace. Shortly after I posted it here on Dribbble, I decided to start this thread on Designer News.

At the time, I was pretty happy with how my workspace was looking. Then I started to get jealous when I saw some of the amazing workspaces posted on the DN comments.

I wanted mine to look better.

I started with the desk. I knew I wanted a nice wood grain, and wanted a pretty modern look overall, so I ended up building a custom desk using this tutorial.

Then I moved on to some of the desk accessories (seen in the far left of the photo, and in the details attachment). I went with a simple concrete plant holder, filled with a Crosby's Mini Jade plant. I also wanted a lamp for the space, and that's when I found these awesome lamps, made by Sam Soffes. It was perfect, and exactly what I was looking for.

I kept my monitor layout the same; Usually I design/browse the web on the left, and write code/check on twitter/email/rdio on the right.

I finished off by hooking up my speakers (and sub-woofer, placed below the desk), and it was done!

I'm really happy with how the project turned out.

Now speaking of workspaces, stay tuned in the coming weeks... I'm working on something really exciting if you're into this type of thing ;)
