Sooner or later those evolving creatures damaged their home planet. There was nothing the "Great Three" could do. The more "advanced" civilizations always escaped to nearby constellations. With the help of a "Mother" entity, they spread the seed of life into the next world repeating the cycle again. It was once all humanity vanished from the universe that God came back from his sleep to call the "Great Three". Like an empty fish tank that needs new fish.
