DMB Ship 1

T-shirt design created for DMB this summer. Unfortunately the project had to be scrapped, but I loved working on the design and thought I’d share.

I was hoping to try something new with this for print: first 2 colors would be printed in water based discharge ink, meaning the print would be super soft and the inks would only dye the fibers of the shirt. Then, the third and final layer (the tiny details in the lettering) would be printed in a thicker, metallic gold plastisol ink that would appear slightly raised compared to the rest of the shirt, adding a detail that is unique to the screen printed process.
