Flat Android UI (WIP)

Work in Progress

I've been wanting to simplify how Android OS handles notifications and show them right on the home screen without having to drill down into a separate notifications area and then go into the app to see the notification.

My vision is:
Swiping horizontally reveal different sections:

Friends - integrates directly with Google+ to pull information and content for a person if they are on Google+ as well. If not then whatever the user decides as picture, name, information, etc, is displayed.
Each type of notification (Google+ = +, Text = Phone Icon, etc) have their own icons associated with them to properly identify the content type.
Scrolling vertically lets you see more updates.

Text - See text messages only.

+ - See Google+ content only.

Calendar - See appointments, schedule one.

Custom - This can be anything, ex: Facebook, Twitter, whatever you assign.

At the top is your profile linked, with direct notifications and number of notifications. Weather is displayed on the right, and you can add an update or check in right from the home screen. This should be incentive enough to use Google+ even more.
