Volvo Cars Official Playoff
Dear friends,
Thank you for joining us for this step into the unknown, the official Volvo Cars Playoff. We hope you are as excited as we are. Take a look at the rules below and get ready to play ball with Volvo.
The background is that we just released our new adaptive digital displays. It's basically an eight-inch high-resolution digital display with the ability to show anything. We’ve configured it to have three interchangeable UIs depending on personal preference of the driver. Now we want to pass the ball to the dribbble community through a playoff where we let you guys design a new display layout with all the flare you look for in a dashboard. You can use the entire area of the display and the sky’s the limit. When we do this, we have to be a little bit conservative due to laws, regulations and such. Fortunately you don’t have to care about that, as long as there’s a speedometer, you’re good to go. Take a look at our current configurations and please feel encouraged to improve what you see.
This game is about showcasing creativity, innovation and a sense for what a future auto consumer might want and need in terms of design.
Oh, and just to let you know, we will not be using any designs that are created for this playoff. This is purely for fun. It’s a way for us to get in touch with you and to bring the most creative people around the world into our process.

The three contributions with the most likes will be presented on the official Volvo Design blog (wedesignvolvo.tumblr.com) as well as reviewed by Andreas Nilsson, Design Director - Strategic and Interaction at Volvo Cars. In addition we will publish interviews with them on the blog.
