Sector Chase

Well, it's been a while since my last shot, and I've been meaning to upload more imagery from this iOS game I designed earlier this year. So, here it is!

Sector Chase is a fun take on pattern recognition. While most pattern recognition games take place on a 3x3 grid, Sector Chase utilizes a 5x5 grid, which increases the difficulty by quite a bit. Friends of mine who have purchased it have said that its a bit addicting.

I designed everything you see in the attached images. There are multiple screens, but I felt that displaying just the Home screen and one gameplay shot was sufficient to demonstrate the look/feel I was going for. I had a ton of fun with this project since it was my first time designing an iOS app or game for that matter. The typography in the logo was a particular point of enjoyment for me since I don't often get to do custom type.

This game is currently only available in the Apple App Store (link at the bottom of this post). I don't think there are any plans to make it available on Android phones. I'd also like to point out that a number of the design elements and animation concepts I came up with were changed during the development process and do not reflect my desired appearance in the final product. There are also some bugs present that haven't been addressed and I'm not sure if the developer is going to address them any time soon, if at all.

If anything, I hope you all at least enjoy the design aspect of the project.
