The new 2.0 buttons

Here you can see the new subpage button switcher buttons (catchy name). In the current site, all I have are text links to the other pages (see: http://www.glennkessler.com/nyreview.html). Some people got confused by those, and so I wanted to make it more clear that they are buttons. So I added a round rectangle around the text and it highlights when you hover over them (see middle button). I think this is a win-win solution. What do you think? Is there anything about them that I should change?
