Experimentation...

Experimented a bit with process last night-- I love screenprinting and carving rubylith but sometimes don't have time to go and make a full print. But I like the look a lot and love the feel for illustrations. So I messed a bit with carving my rubylith as usual but also rolled some flats of relief ink today. Then with scanning and using the rubylith as a mask-- voila! a relatively fast way to lay down color and texture that still keeps that hand-cut feel.

Will experiment more with this in the future!
