Harvest America Sign

We needed a sign for an event my church is hosting called Harvest America.

**DISCLAIMER: This is not my concept, I just made the sign based off of the current theme and graphics being used by their creative team.

BTW: I have a question, what is the best way to texture a 7ft x 3ft banner in illustrator?

What I did was make a couple of quick textures in PS and then live traced them in Illustrator.
Is this the best way?

Suggestions are much appreciated and I would love to get some criticism/critique!
