Drug Store

Doodled this as a rough thumbnail yesterday and started work this morning. A fun little day project for myself.

I've been trying all sorts of different illustration techniques and experimenting with texture lately. Had a lot of fun with this.

My fascination of all things having to do with the apothecary comes from my grandfather and great grandfather being pharmacists. The shelf is based on fixtures that were in my great grandfather's drug store that are now displayed in a museum in Newfoundland.
