The effect of anti-aliasing

Every time again, I'm suprised by the effect of anti-aliasing on small-sized icons. I thought the 'f' icon was pixel-perfect, but applying one of the most simplest tricks of Graphic Design made it even better. Sometimes 'too sharp' just doesn't feel right!
