The Flame of the Millennium: A tribute to a martyr.

During Friday morning rush hour on November 3, 2006, in protest of what is now the loss of many lives in Iraq, peace activist Malachi Ritscher burned himself to death next to Chicago's busiest freeway.

The news didn't cover it, and nobody gave a fuck.

Some photographs of Malachi. His last photo, standing in front of a statue. A high quality photo of him protesting from a story that MSNBC ran about him 3 weeks after his death. (all photos are from Malachi's life, not his death)

His story has deeply affected me.
